Japan C1900 Woolwork embroidery made for a church itA beautifully subtlety coloured, good sized panel of metallic weave silk brocade, possibly from an obi or sash which would have been worn over a traditional kimono. Hand woven in Japan it has a fairly stiff structure which would have kept its shape well when worn.
