Dana did not make the blanks but acquired them from a customer (who acquired them from Bob Corsetti) and then Dana finished the rod with his masterful touches. The reel seat hardware came from Sam Carlson's shop. Dana made the ferrules, formed his standard grip design, and wrapped varnished the rod.
