Its a bit fragile and does rely on attacking to generate value, but many one-toughness creatures have to live in fear of cards like this
Wonderscape Sage requires just a tap, which is a slight drawback in that you have to wait for summoning sickness to wear off to start using it, and you ostensibly can only use it once per turn, barring untapping shenanigans

So while these cards are highly sought after by collectors (even ones outside of Magic: The Gathering ), they will be viable in play for years to come
