The panellists sat back in their old leather chairs and put their feet up for a well earned rest whilst savouring the warming aromas of baking fruit cake with strawberries

the nose really finds its voice and sings a sweet madrigal of tropical fruits

but as the solvent on the nose evaporates it leaves the fruity aroma of strawberry red lace liquorice

A lovely aroma which was a little all over the place at first

Mint julep, bitter chocolate, antique furniture polish, walnut oil, prunes and fruit loaf and all mentioned initially. Then cherry calpol, bay leaf, yellow sultanas, honeycomb and brown muscovado sugar.
