The 1996 Richebourg Grand Cru is drinking beautifully and might actually surpass La Tche in this vintage
"This is initially quite fragrant and expressive but the longer that the wine sat in the glass the more it progressively shut down and a great deal of swirling was necessary to release the mostly red berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with a broad range of spice and floral elements
with great length seamlessly allied to considerable richness
this wine continues to remind me of a California fantasy blend of La Mission-Haut-Brion and Cheval Blanc
Dujac Malconsorts 2017 1.5L Size:1.5L The 1996 Richebourg Grand Cru"Both more concentrated and more introverted than the preceding Beaux Monts, Dujac's 2017 Vosne Romane 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts opens in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, plums, orange rind, smoked duck and peonies. On the palate, it's full bodied, supple and elegantly muscular, with fine depth at the core, powdery tannins and mouthwatering acids, concluding with a perfumed finish."
