Monmouth Red Age:2 YR Mill within three weeks ofA Welsh perry pear from Monmouthshire. Green skin with dark red flush and some russet. Flowers mid April, harvest around September. Found in various old orchards in Monmouthshire and named by Dave Matthews. Shown on maps dated to the 1800s. Makes a sweet and neutral perry with some acid.
