A very fine used example of this rare "Abnormal" lettered FB, neatly cancelled by a superb Liverpool "466" numeral. The chestnut shades are referred to as "abnormals" (from sheets printed with the imprimatur, registered 22 April 1872). The stamp was put to press in buff on October 1872.
