I suspected the master carver did follow some kind of guideline as the design is complex and definite

Signs of decades of use can be seen in the softening of the wood and also in the grooves where the stool has been extensively and sensitivity carved

The patina is rich and the texture of the of the wood is smooth and silky. Possibly a hand created proto type or created in a non commercial wood shop or atelier.
