Whir of Invention Whir of Invention has a more generic appeal than Reshape or Transmute Artifact, in that it doesnt force you to sacrifice an artifact to use it and has its own built in cost reduction mechanic for tutoring, allowing you to tap artifacts to reduce the cost of X, which in turn lets you pull higher mana value cards from your deck to the battlefield

I wouldnt be surprised to see it show up in other white aggressive decks, at least as a solid sideboard option against decks like Reanimator and Dredge
